Burning the midnight oil… This is what 8 litres of strawberries looks like on freeze dryer sheets which works out to one litre per tray. Two baskets of strawberries washed, spun, dried, tops scooped out, chopped and ready for the next phase! 🍓

Row upon row the strawberries grow.. Another year a tradition grows!! 🍓 Today was a hot one.. so hot in fact that for quite some time my nephew & I were the only ones picking in the field. We set a goal of filling 6 baskets and quickly did so while eating our fair share of delicious fresh strawberries. I remember picking strawberries every summer as a child but what I will treasure more is the excitement my nephew shares moving from one row to the next finding the biggest ones. He’s growing up on me oh too quickly! My heart melted as he insisted on carrying the bulk of the strawberries with 4 of the 6 baskets like a true gentleman. 💕
