We all have a little cypherpunk in us; even those that are not really into tech. have a little cypher in them; capabilities certainly enable but it is not the driver of a cypher life; it's not unfounded that people gravitate and prefer #privacy: blinds, doorlocks, whispers, close friendships that you share personal stories and thoughts; these are glimpses of what cypher looks like in its non-digital form. humans have an inherent need for multi-layered existence. if people understood how deeply entrenched data sharing and how this influences and changes their behavior, then there would be a massive disconnect by people outraged at the swindle. People will value other things in life, prompted by recognizing they've been manipulated by algorithms. People may be obtuse about their technologies, but they are certainly anti-surveillance

Damn it #nostr is addicting. I've gone many years avoiding social media, but I may have found my weakness lol.

What I love about #nostr is I can easily filter out anything that's not on my followers list. Harder time for big tech proprietary platforms able to psyop their userbase.

Teachings from #stoicism contain important insights. One such insight is we cannot separate the ideal from practical reality: we must practice what we believe in. It's why I love how they emphasize daily practice to strengthen one's virtue. A practice I really enjoy is experimenting and experiencing discomfort. For instance, taking a slightly colder shower to appreciate what one has, to skip on a bad habit instead of indulging, to walk to the local store instead of relying on a car. You realize that happiness doesn't come from externals of comfort but rather on being accepting of circumstances and moving beyond. Being mountain-like.

The more I interact with #nostr the less I care about private and proprietary platforms like X.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Using PGP is a great way to build up a cryptographically verified identity that can be pieced together by examining the history of usage, and cross referenced across sites and platforms. One could obviously also use their current nostr address or crypto address to sign and prove some kind of identity. This identity can only really be verified and trusted across time and space. Let the history of usage speak for itself: xmr: 84toQ6zQ1ncNL4pFhRD7Y3EWYaTABTuYni3tjD6SgVgBM5fmaMRap91BpzWKmrsUp4CP6bL6WNFkgQQaxxrAKt6qFw49Q4B nostr: nostr:npub1z36p7h3m0m7n2h5fw6l07ymapksszzyqdp2umac07yr7zl7n030s608u0e username on x: absolutespectre and it's a great idea to have some kind of reference to work on. here are some references: https://x.com/absolutespectre/status/1966873935938834469 https://x.com/absolutespectre/status/1982085353335865458 https://x.com/absolutespectre/status/1966716253118050347 https://x.com/absolutespectre/status/1977721085945655676 Another who has verified, and this helps further with cross referencing: https://x.com/themerit0crat/status/1982090862453518596 nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzpm9ll96cg9m9ttvt5y3ancydvrtkwpza5gj89m0gdnl236dze5tuqy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwwpexjmtpdshxuet59uqzp2lys7h9lky7x24qkshn4v20mkhq9ce3ecy65rx92hsd3paj8sfpftramr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCgAdFiEEEyybeq0cYSHmub5HYXVDKDflJAAFAmj9O0cACgkQYXVDKDfl JAAaIRAAz8N4THT8/Pt7nuaLmPiIKJlfBU+PJiLmt4RHfccoLSFJDQt/LHBWXTZq 9B5UqV+8KxgPA8uU3d1xu5gPwdZKvqt2eTG3dCmGoiz/wbNwtQ7wtMTTru2uY/Wl Pv+1wQQlbUDi5XdFb12up1UFPa6gnWWEZJn06O0nRZeUsr6HmrMfgbJRcjrhky5F H0O91pFp7fBZo3aG+NH4DXEW0lhmW4gjPzZ7RVEsVlWDcHGMblKsmTNhGwUdLi3S NQ6ufEQiy2DCWXQCcX8Zmc2hiU7jpM+QwJUk+3a4YKb3lhpfbNNSO+cfrVVFCC3l ilnhpvj/skFgoIGiE7pxMQRAnOnCy5RTm1QjUaaXKZi4iY+NnIL90Yf6pjxYkL9H QbiF06y4ACAPb8ZQzmglF0AXJOF80hvy0MXQAcI6UHKVlHWysoyZoY9scT0D1JgX P7XL3DLSC5hnWotRNohJ7Ie+Ck0edbVuLYaya7EFCFYdjSUg6Xduiw5CRIH3FLwi anNb0WiAoDEKSPWwBovmYhbRsOvZyVPtM9rWm5MzojDJ2IrEaTkcio9/7mEUIO8g YsdIIziXRyBA1/q7UCXgHmLBv/ycrVWghiszWisuQHG3F7MlDHCUi23OiPE9FXDo a9d33+2klAUmBM3wRsfg7MA9XWGScNkI0C+htHpMJOzDEd6n1NY= =yosN -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I've made a new nostr:npub135w572zryhrhu406v73fzwvg56t7sps03nzna58l23qfkpnnr3pq65nne8 account through the browser and I was able to set my #monero address. However If I try to login to nosmero with amber, I am successful but setting any wallet or settings or posting is not working. Anyone have a good idea why that might be the case?
