I wonder what happened with Urbit.
Corporations, governments and your enemies buying bitcoin was always at play. That’s what permissionless means: people you don’t like will buy bitcoin.
Being mad at other people’s things and affairs is just a reflection of your own insecurity.
Focus on what you can personally control.
If you choose a Python web app in Replit instead of the Node.js/Express/TypeScript/Vite/React stack, then suddenly it becomes easier to debug and even deploy.
Yes, it’s less modern or shiny, I guess, but it does the job well.
I’m a “fuck the manual, I’ll just do it” type of a guy, so vibe-coding is definitely for me.
A family-only social network: social posts, a detailed family tree and chronicles, events, voting and resolutions.
Say, if I built a fully centralized social network for my family, what would be the benefit of running a Nostr relay + Blossom for media vs a regular server + storage set up?
I’d use Nostr for identities (login) and possibly wallet connections via NWC. But events and media? Not sure of the benefits vs the traditional approach.

So far, I developed 3 projects using vide-coding. A bitcoin payments app, a p2p ad marketplace and a bitcoin treasury company index (TOP-20). They all work, and I’ve learned a ton!
Unfortunately, I don’t feel like running them as businesses. Not because I’m lazy, but because I don’t want to run something I’m not entirely in love with. I’ve had multiple experiences staring something I wasn’t entirely fond of only to create headaches for myself.
I’ll keep vibe-coding projects, dozens if needed, until I stumble upon “my thing”. The ever-improving AI superpower gives me the tools a person like me needs (an unlimited stream of ideas that need to be built right now!).
Who uses AI for search instead of an actual search engine most of the time?

Every time I use ibuprofen, I’m actually amazed it exists. It’s a great medicine.
Oh boy, here we go again.

There’ll be a marketplace of specialized AI assistants that you can hire for a monthly fee like workers.
The UI we have now forces you to “figure it out”, train it for some time, etc. But if you need an accountant or legal advisor, they’ll be available as packaged products. I guess the closest thing to it right now is coding agents (Replit, Copilot, etc).
I guess deployment is a science of its own because I’m failing to deploy an app that works well in my development environment.
Citadel defense is getting an upgrade.
