GM, I've some updates for Lume v3, the development process taking longer than I expected due to I a bit ambitious ๐
All things I've done so far:
- Build the Ark library to help user can build custom column for Lume (this is what take my most of time)
- New onboarding with support OAuth login and signup
- New low power mode for low network environment
- New activity screen
- New relay explorer screen
- New post editor
- New experience for column
- Support translation via translate.nostr.wine (cc @Mazin)
- SUpport flatpak for linux user (thank @Konrad_ST)
I'm still working on some features, includes:
- In-app tutorial
- User explorer screen
- A column for display bitcoin exchange rate
- A column for display all other nostr clients
Sadly, the feature help user run nostr relay inside Lume cannot run on Windows, so I need more time to replace it which other backend, original it powered by 'nostr-rs-relay', I will try migrate it to 'strfry'. I want to release v3 this week, so this feature maybe postpone to next update
And I also need to some beta tester, if anyone interest, feel free reach out to me ๐.

So, as this community has long asked, I will try to help with packaging the lume package in flatpak, [IDEA] Distribution by flatpak ยท Issue #43 ยท...
Yo, Lume v3 will embrace "OAuth-like" flow for onboarding new user to Nostr.
It also support all nsecbunker instances that support this flow, user can choose the service their want.
Thank @PABLOF7z for made it 100x easier.
Yo, just another progress update for Lume v3 today.
when start building Lume, I want it can display many kind as much as possible, but I realised this is wrong way and I never can achieve it by myself, manage many kinds is nighmare and hard to polish each of them.
so in v3, Lume is focus only on kind 1 and for other kind, it will show recommend user open with other clients based on NIP-89.

GM. Today I came up with brand new editor for Lume v3.
When building Lume, I'm always stuck to create a seamless experience for writing. I've tried many way, include modal style in v1, dedicate screen in v2, but it all feels unnatural for Deck UI.
So I came up with a novel style, it not only help you focus on writing your though, but also help you don't lose track what your experience before.
Yo, Primal inside Lume ๐คฃ

My targets for 2024:
- Learn Japanese to at least I can watch anime and play game without subtitle
- Launch a second project beside Lume
- Have girlfriend
GM @The Fishcake (nostr.build), this is my concept for a mobile nostr client that I said before, I named it "Yume".
Some specifics about it:
- User will scroll horizontal instead of vertical, and it will display only one post
- User can press or swipe up to view specific post (I don't know how to do animation in figma to describe it ๐
)
- User can create multiple list, it can be newsfeed for group of people, or newsfeed for specific people (with post only, media only, article only,...)
Currently, I'm not have time for build it, but maybe next year ๐ค
Yo, I have a progress update for Lume v3 today โจ
Each column now have a internal router, it can open a event or profile then go back at exactly previous position, creating a seamless experience.
You also can pin any content as a new column
Not only that, I've updated ability of Ark Library, you can build anything inside column, some examples:
- A column show current bitcoin exchange rate
- A column show all users status
- A column show Snort Client (via iframe) ๐
- the possibility is unlimited, except access to your private key ๐คฃ
