You can just eat things It’s plum mango season! This exotic tropical fruit comes around only once a year, so I make the most of it. I made a plum mango pie—a fun twist on key lime pie. It’s sweet and tangy, citrusy and refreshing, topped with cream cheese frosting and a drizzle of salted caramel. #food #foodstr #homecooking
After a big beach play, the girlies were exhausted and—no surprise—hungry (as always). So, I served these girls their big meals: beef, pork loin, beef hearts, green tripe, pork liver, beef spleen, green-lipped mussels, bone broth, veggies and fruit popsicles, turmeric, raw honey, eggs, and some raw meaty bones. Oh, and about those eggs—I make sure to include the cell membranes because they’re great for joint support. But eggshells? Only if they’re from a trusted source and haven’t been chemically washed. Bon appetite, girls! #dog #dogstr
Comfort food for dinner: spicy beef tantanmen with rich, homemade broth and crispy, golden tori karaage. Now in a food coma but no regrets! 🍜 #food #foodstr #homecooking
Pitting marian plums started as a way to make them easier to enjoy, especially in desserts like Maprang Loy Kaew (marian plums in syrup), a royal favorite. It’s a summer dessert served chilled to make it even more refreshing. Over time, it became a staple in Thai cuisine, showcasing the art of fruit preparation. The seed sticks to the flesh like that of a mango, which is also soft and delicate, making it very tricky to remove. It takes patience and a gentle touch—proof of work. Since marian plums are only harvested once a year, it’s worth every effort. I’m not the best at carving these, but I’m 💯 focusing and trying to do my best 🫡 #food #foodstr #homecooking #siamstr
The girls are super excited for their afternoon treats! Cow ears! 🐮👂🏽 These furry treats aren’t just packed with fiber and manganese—they also help clean teeth, support digestion, and promote gut health. #dog #dogstr
Goodnight 🌙 Mala’s nose is always brown, and her face is always sandy—proof of her favorite beach activity (besides wrestling with her sister): crab hunting. 🦀 She’ll dig a solid 10 feet if that’s what it takes, and 70% of the time, she actually gets her crab. It’s very impressive to watch. I love seeing her in her natural element. #dog #dogstr
Car’s in for a check-up, so I figured I’d make a new friend while I wait. Took me a solid 30 minutes to earn her trust… still no pets, but at least she’s not running away anymore. I’ll take that as a win! 🏆 😁 #dogstr
Marian plum, also known as Plum mango or Maprang, is a tropical fruit that tastes like a blend of mango and apricot. Some varieties have a slight tang, but the one we have is incredibly sweet and juicy. It’s one of my favorite fruits, and since it only bears fruit once a year, it’s always worth the wait. Right now, I’m enjoying a buffet straight from the tree, savoring every bite as the twilight sets in. Feeling blessed! 🫶🏽✨
GM 🥞 Sunday pancakes are always a good call. We’re probably going to get a sugar crash after this, but that’s what Sundays are for. May your Sunday be filled with love and joy! 🫶🏽 #food #foodstr #homecooking
Yes, I’m the maximalist! No holding back on the toppings! 🍕 #foodstr #food #homecooking #sourdough #pizza image
Duck Heads for Snack Time! The girls are enjoying their afternoon snack—duck heads! You probably already know that raw meaty bones are great for dogs, helping with dental health and providing a natural source of calcium. But that’s not all! I love giving them heads because they come with bonus nutrients—brains and eyeballs included. It’s an all-in-one deal! • Zinc is an essential mineral for skin health, immune function, and wound healing. While it’s found throughout red meat, it’s most concentrated in eyeballs! 👀 • DHA supports brain development (especially in puppy), vision, and a healthy skin and coat. You can find it in brains and oily fish. 🧠 Beyond nutrition, chewing bones isn’t just good for teeth—it also strengthens the jaw, provides mental stimulation, and helps ease anxiety. Happy chewing, girls! ** Their meals will be balanced over time. These pictures might not show a fully balanced raw meal. Please do your own research before feeding your pup a raw diet. ** ** Not a dog nutritionist or expert—just a dog mom doing her best to provide her pups with proper nutrition. ** #dogstr #dog
#sourdough focaccia 🫧 Nice, airy with golden crispy crust 😌 #foodstr #homecooking
“We Can’t Take Every Dog Home!” 🥺 My husband and I constantly remind each other of this, but it’s easier said than done! The other day, we stopped by a hardware store, and this shy, sweet girl came up to us (okay, maybe we lured her over first). She looked a little thin but not too unhealthy—we’ve seen worse. Living in a country where hundreds of street dogs roam, we’ve met so many amazing ones along the way. (Our girls were also street dogs, and they are awesomeeee!!) That’s why I always keep a few bags of treats, some dog food, and water in the car—just in case. It’s a simple way to make new friends wherever we go. I know this isn’t a real solution to the bigger problem, but is it so wrong to brighten someone’s day, even just a little? We enjoy their company just as much as they enjoy the treats. Value for value, right? If I had one wish, it would be for every dog to have a home—a place where they are loved, cared for, and treated right. I know it’s only a daydream, but hope is what keeps us going. Wouldn’t you agree? #dog #dogstr image
Gyudon – Quick, Simple, and Satisfying After a late beach walk with the girls, I wanted something quick and satisfying for dinner. Gyudon was the perfect choice—easy to make and so satisfying. I served it with homemade miso soup from my fridge-stocked bone broth and some pickles for a fun, flavorful touch. #food #foodstr #homecooking #dogstr
Hey #dogstr Not sure if you already know this, but I just wanted to share a quick note about fiber and fur for our #dog Fiber is super important for digestion, weight management, and gut health. It helps prevent constipation, supports blood sugar regulation, and keeps anal glands healthy. You can easily find fiber in foods like pumpkin, sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, and more veggies and fruits.. I try to include fiber in my girls’ meals every day. But from time to time, I also give them rabbit feet/ears/heads, goat ears, or cow ears. These furry treats aren’t just packed with fiber and manganese—they also help clean teeth, support digestion, and promote gut health. Best part? They LOVE them! The moment I open a bag, they come running at full speed, no matter where they are. Hope your pups enjoy them too! 🐶💕 ** Their meals will be balanced over time. These pictures might not show a fully balanced raw meal. Please do your own research before feeding your pup a raw diet. ** ** Not a dog nutritionist or expert—just a dog mom doing her best to provide her pups with proper nutrition. **
I HATE Medallion Carrots! 🥕 I don’t know why, but I’ve never liked them. It’s not that I hate carrots—I actually do like them, just not in circles. So here I am, doing everything I can to cut them into literally any other shape. Am I alone in this battle against carrot circles, or do others feel my pain? #food #foodstr #homecooking image
So, here’s the situation… I had some leftover butter chicken sauce. Then I made sweet potato gnocchi. Then I threw in some crispy pork belly—kind of bacon-like. Now I’m sitting here with a bowl of rich, flavorful, buttery, smoky, slightly sweet, and I have no idea what to call it. Do we go with: Butter Crispy Pork Belly Gnocchi? Crispy Pork & Curry Gnocchi ? 🤔 Or something better? Whatever it is, I think I just invented the ultimate comfort food. What would you name this dish? #food #foodstr #homecooking
GM 🌞 The sun is out (yay! 😁), and the morning has been productive. I got the sweet potato gnocchi ready for dinner and had a great chat with the gardener about plants, dogs and the importance of staying mentally engaged while the girls enjoyed his visit. A wonderful start to the day with positive energy! 🤙🏽 #foodstr #dogstr
