Been digging into Cashu mints a little deeper lately and got a much better grip on how they're set up. Mints let operators customize some meta data fields. This got me thinking about how these fields can be used in the UI to show important info to users. 
I used the bitcoin.design community UI kit to whip up quick concept of how a mint might display these fields to users. I'm really excited about the potential use cases for the MINT_INFO_MOTD (Message of the Day) field. 
If mint operators use this for urgent messages, apps could show this as an in-line alert. This could be really helpful for sharing important updates like downtime or future shutdowns. Including an action button in the alert is probably not realistic, but would be a nice touch. 
Some people have thrown out an idea of a mint that automatically rugs after certain amount of time. Alerts could be really useful here. If a wallet detects a MOTD, it could display it on launch or send a push notification. Gotta think about the risks and potential misuse too.

Ecash on bitcoin improves on custodians wrt to censorship and privacy. With ecash the data is the money - this allows for push UX that lets us to design much better user experiences that we couldn’t do with traditional lightning. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. I don’t reject custodial solutions because they aren’t perfect. I don’t reject bitcoin because it’s not perfect. The reality is that many people (even bitcoiners who self-custody) prefer to use custodial services despite their trade offs.
Really inspired by the folks I've met in Hong Kong. The future is bright for ecash on bitcoin.

Finding a way to convey multisig output descriptors so they're easy to digest and a great user experience is a nightmare. This is the trenches of Bitcoin UX design, for real.
Spent the weekend exploring designs for showing stable assets like USD, EUR on Cashu. A challenging edge case: when users have different assets within a mint, and also spread across different mints. Cross-mint interoperability for stable assets makes my mind melt.
What is the name of the website where I can view the breakdown of Nostr zap data by wallet? I'm interested in seeing the distribution between custodial and non-custodial wallets. I remember coming across it last year.
