“The Solemnity of All Saints, which we celebrate today, invites us to share in the joy of that countless family of men and women who, following the Lord Jesus, have made their lives a gift to God and to their neighbors.” - Pope Leo IX image

Bitcoin offers the opportunity for each of us to opt out of an economic system that is based on theft and lies. @Jeff Booth is great at reminding us that we have personal agency to choose the #bitcoin system now. I need a reminder from time to time to nudge me out of my old habits. We have a choice!

We are filled in the morning with thy mercy. And we have rejoiced, and are delighted. Morn in her rosy car is borne; Let Him come forth our perfect morn, The Word in God the Father One, The Father, perfect in the Son. All laud to God the Father be; All praise, Eternal Son, to thee; All glory, as is ever meet, To God the Holy Paraclete. Amen. image

Such a beautiful prayer to start the day “Cause me to hear thy mercy in the morning; for in thee have I hoped. Make the way known to me, wherein I should walk: for I have lifted up my soul to thee. Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, to thee have I fled: teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Thy good spirit shall lead me into the right land: for thy name’s sake, O Lord, thou wilt quicken me in thy justice. Thou wilt bring my soul out of trouble: and in thy mercy thou wilt destroy my enemies. And thou wilt cut off all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.” - Psalm 142: 8-12 image

“How beautiful, then, the marriage of two Christians, two who are one in hope, one in desire, one in the way of life they follow, one in the religion they practice. They are as brother and sister, both servants of the same Master. Nothing divides them, either in flesh or in spirit. They are, in very truth, two in one flesh; and where there is but one flesh there is also but one spirit. They pray together, they worship together, they fast together; instructing one another, encouraging one another, strengthening one another. Side by side they visit God’s church and partake of God’s Banquet; side by side they face difficulties and persecution, share their consolations. They have no secrets from one another; they never shun each other’s company; they never bring sorrow to each other’s hearts. Unembarrassed they visit the sick and assist the needy. They give alms without anxiety; they attend the Sacrifice without difficulty; they perform their daily exercises of piety without hindrance. They need not be furtive about making the Sign of the Cross, nor timorous in greeting the brethren, nor silent in asking a blessing of God. Psalms and hymns they sing to one another, striving to see which one of them will chant more beautifully the praises of their Lord. Hearing and seeing this, Christ rejoices. To such as these He gives His peace. Where there are two together, there also He is present; and where He is, there evil is not.” - Tertullian image

Agape (pronounced ah-gah-pay) is the highest form of love in Greek philosophy and Christian theology, defined as an unconditional, selfless, and sacrificial love that seeks the best for others without expecting anything in return. As the Lord forgives you, so do I. image

"It is because anger and impatience are the very pith and sap of pride that they please the devil so much. Impatience, a close cousin of anger, loses the fruit of its labor, deprives the soul of God; it begins by knowing a foretaste of hell, and later it brings men to eternal damnation: for in hell the evil perverted will burn with anger, hate, and impatience. There is no sin or wrong that gives a man such a foretaste of hell in this life as anger and impatience." - St. Catherine of Siena image

“The foundation stones of honesty, character, faith, integrity, love, and loyalty are necessary for a balanced success that includes health, wealth, and happiness… The longer I live and the more successful people I meet, the more convinced I become that these foundation stones are the most critical success weapons we have in our arsenal. In any crisis or emergency, those with whom we deal and on whom our health, wealth, and happiness depend will act more readily and cooperate more completely if our credibility is beyond question.” - From “See You at the Top” by Zig Ziglar image
