I just got a "security advisory" email from Coinkite... Should be legit But I have two basically opposing qiestios... 1: I thought CC deletes all possible data. Just checked in the "data blanked" email they write "... keeping your email for now so you can check..." So question 1.5: How much time does one need to check?! (I got that >two years ago) 2. Why now?! How long does it take to write this email to warn the customers?! Three Days?! To me this looks like there was unwillingness to send the email as they gave the impression they "delete all your data" and so hesitated to send it. In that case this comes on top of the actual code error and is in my mind reckless behavior, continuing the pattern of their conduct. This should be called out! Really sad to see I don't know what will be of Coldcard and/or of your involment in the space, no need to tell you how bad this is, for the customers, Coinkite and the entire self custody space, you know... The hit is ginormous I'd love to see the product survive, although I don't know how even that's possible, I highly doubt the company will... I'd wish the Calcolators to be as secure as we all thought, probably now they are... But not sure I'd be able to trust it again myself, I'd probably use it in a multisig setup, but new customers?! I believe in principle you should continue to support/maintain the existing products, but is that even possible?
