On this day in 1975, AC/DC released their debut LP “High Voltage” (February 17)
Not sure anyone suspected at this point that they’d go on to become one of the biggest and most enduring rock bands in the world, but this is where it all started.
The album was produced by Vanda & Young, and George Young recalled:
“All of a sudden the kid brothers were still the kid brothers...but my God, they knew how to play.
There was no sort of, 'Do they have it or don't they have it?'
It was obvious that they had something."

The album was only released in Australia.
There was a later international “High Voltage” LP release by AC/DC, but with a radically different track list.
