Almost every time I talk about privacy with friends I hear the argument: “I have nothing to hide”… But at the moment I ask if they’d honestly be ok with their boss or that friend they occassionally talk about behind her back reading their messages, their expression completely changes. Admit it or not, we all have things to hide, and that doesn’t make us terrible people. Really liked this post cause it gave me more convincing examples for future discussions. When I started contributing to open source I was advised to keep track of my contributions… it felt tedious at first. Now that the year is ending, I’m so glad did, it’s incredibly rewarding to look back and read that list. I’d recommend it to every dev, it really helps to keep you motivated
