Vlog #18 A day at the polar museum. A small village not to far from here pioneered the seal hunting business, and ship faring in the far north. The last photo in the vlog is of the six men, in to open boats along with another boat, saved 38 lives in a storm with 20 meter waves. The 18 men who were lost called from the radio to send their last goodbyes home. Other stories tell, in 1952, 5 boats were lost in a storm, leaving 98 childern without fathers and 46 wives without their man. All lived in our area. The sea gives, and the sea takes away.
