Oh, one change was made to our #nostr #relay wss://nostr.superfriends.online today, in order to curtail some abusive clients and spam: You now need to be NIP-05 verified in your profile to use the relay! I apologise, ideally I don't like to place barriers to usage, especially for the noobs. But given the amount of database growth and spamming, it is needed. 🤦‍♂️😾

Hey frens! Today I've updated our #nostr #relay wss://nostr.superfriends.online to the latest code in the nostr-rs-relay git repo. I've just restarted the service, so there was a tiny outage for just a few seconds. Thank you to all the users! The database is growing quickly in size, and soon we'll need to migrate onto larger pastures. Hopefully it won't cost an arm and a leg; I'll start taking a look later this month. I was always a fan of #Arkham Intelligence's #Blockchain analysis platform, but this new move towards #doxxing for bounties and as a service seems inherently anti-Blockchain to me. As a decentralist, I feel this is a step backwards, not in the direction I want to go. 🙈

A few months ago when I joined #nostr, I gotta admit it felt kinda clunky. However it's grown on me over that time, and has improved a lot. Extra props to #Amethyst which is one of my favourite mobile clients and developing almost daily. Pretty hyped to see how it will evolve over the next few months and years as the protocol expands & more projects start using the specs and expanding them! 😺🔥⚡ btw - I'm not a #Bitcoin maxi, but I have been somehow surviving exclusively off #crypto jobs/assets now for a few years.
