I am tigs and I like to stream games and other stuff. Jack of all trades, master of none. But a master of none is better than a master of one.

FOR THIS WANTING TO STREAM GAMES FROM A DECENT/GOOD PC TO THEIR STREAMDECK/LACKLUSTRE LAPTOP! For those wanting/or who like to stream games from their desktop computer to their laptop or even better... a SteamDeck. This is the guide for you. Planning on doing my own version of this sometime soon as well as a EmuDeck one. Perhaps in video! This is called MoonDeckBuddy and basically it connects to your desktop computer where all the grunt is, from your SteamDeck, remotely over WiFi. This lets you stream your games from the Desktop where I imagine they run in great condition... to your StreamDeck where it will continue to be in great condition. The only thing slowing you down really is the speed of your wifi *to put it simply*. Usually the setup has been, Moonlight (client machine/steamdeck) to -> Sunshine (game server/desktop). This time however! This is the case: image Moonlight still connects to Sunshine as you can see BUT now, MoonDeck connects to MoonDeckBuddy kinda like as a layer2 to put it simply I think. So what does this allow actually I hear you asking... From now on when browsing your entire games library on the SteamDeck, you can tap a button on the game view you're viewing and it will launch it on the Desktop, then stream it to the SteamDeck through Moonlight+MoonDeckBuddy. If you haven't heard of decky loader yet, that's probably worth checking out too. - This will allow you to install ALOT of tools for your SteamDeck which actually show up nicely on the right under a section when you press the button with 3 circles on it. MoonDeckBuddy is the app you need to get I believe on the SteamDeck. I had issues with SteamGridDB so I choose not to use that. More to come soon hopefully and if anyone has questions please ask! #steamdeck #steam #valve #steamos #games #gamestr
