We explored how Bitcoin's incentive structure shapes everything from node operation and network scaling to decentralization, governance, and the role of trust. A few key takeaways: 🔸 Incentives matter as much as technology. How participants are rewarded can shape the entire network. 🔸 Decentralization requires the right incentives. The question isn't just who can participate, but whether the system makes participation economically sustainable. 🔸 Markets can coordinate complexity. The chapter challenges the idea that a small group should determine the "correct" way for a decentralized network to evolve. 🔸 Bitcoin is trust-minimized, not trust-free.
