I found a screencast (sorry, in Dutch) which I made in 2011 demonstrating the HVSbackup app. This was an Adobe AIR application where I combined traditional web tech and Flash / Actionscript in a desktop app:
The neat thing was that I could connect to a remote script on a server (connecting an API), transfer all the data via some iframe bridge in the app and than save all the data directly on the local machine. The purpose of the app was backup up all your data from Hyves (a Dutch social network).
Soon after I making a similar app for Facebook (called Facebackup) some lawyers were already warning me to take it down (which I did and developement staled).
Just posted this #Omarchy screenrecording issue (in the NIP-29 Omarchy group) which I have since I the beginning using Omarchy.
