I’m struggling with how to securely use #Nostr iOS apps. From what I’ve read we must protect our Nsec; hence, the need to install an extension like @Alby when using a Nostr web client like @primal on the desktop. When installing a Nostr iOS app like @Fountain or @Damus , I’m asked to enter my Nsec directly into the app. How do I know where my Nsec is being stored? Is there something like @Alby for iOS, or is it a matter of needing to trust each Nostr app I install and hope they are securing my Nsec correctly? #Security #Nsec #iOS

I'm curious to know what others use as a best practice for securing their Nsec. @Alby works terrific with web apps on a desktop or laptop, but when it comes to mobile apps I'm a little concerned about entering my Nsec when trying different mobile apps. Reading The Bitcoin Standard by @Saifedean Ammous this morning. I was moved by the highlighted paragraph, connecting a high time preference in monetary terms to a high time preference elsewhere in society. This helps explain the societal decay we are experiencing in the USA. It also provides us with the solution: transitioning to a sound form of money that encourages savings (low time preference) over mass consumption (high time preference) will repair the societal issues we face today. If only there was a sound form of currency with a fixed supply…… #BTC

My teenager has spent many hours this summer making #Minecraft videos, and trying to meet the YouTube criteria for monetizing his work. I'm trying to help my teenager understand the value for value proposition of #Nostr and #BTC using the #LightningNetwork. Me: "You should learn and educate yourself on the #Nostr protocol instead of trying to meet YouTube's criteria for monetizing your work. #Nostr is where the puck is headed. Teenager: "No one is going to give you #Sats for creating content". Please help me prove my teenager wrong. 😁
