Trump keeps releasing files related to various conspiracy theories to distract from Epstein. If we assume he wants a distraction but to continue to lie to the public, we learn a lot by what he offers. What files hasn't he offered to release? Those are likely the ones with real secrets. The ones he offered are probably all nothing.

A VPN ban is an outright joke. An enforced VPN ban breaks the entire internet and every business that depends on it, not exaggeration. Networking at a carrier level is now virtualized just like servers. There is the base layer, a private network only accessible to carrier technicians. On top of that are a collections of VPNs. In a properly secure carrier design the internet is a VPN on top of a management layer private IP range network. When a company asks an ISP for a private link between between two campuses? They don't string a new wire, they put up a VPN across existing backbone. MVNOs? A VPN on top of the cell carriers network. Think your emergency services like police are sending things plaintext across the internet? All VPNs. Politicians could think of a dumber and more economically destructive solution, they are politicians after all, but it it really would be a serious challenge even for them.

If you follow 1000 people on nostr you'll never see everything. You've created an algorithm for yourself that preferentially shows you content by prolific posters and hides niche content from you. I remember when the thing of the day was how you needed to follow more people to really enjoy nostr. I remember that it wasn't any of the niche accounts I follow encouraging that. It was people already posting 15 new notes and 10 self boosts of shit they said yesterday 7 days a week.
