Saw two juvenile screech owls perched in a tree yesterday. Today, there is only less mature one. And a storm is coming. But, it's okay. He/she is on the leeward side of the tree with lots of places to hide out if needed. He's got this. #nature

Q: Is there anything cooler than baby owls? A: No. Just saw these kids in the neighborhood. #nature image

Cooking with beer is great, but somehow it still seems wasteful and hurts image to pour that, albeit cheap, beer into the mix. #foodstr

I'm trying to avoid becoming a cynical, jaded person, but if I hear one more person bragging about their "not-for-profit" organization, I'll probably vomit in place.

Ahh, now I understand why you drive an electric truck instead of electric car. Dude is hauling around a gas-powered generator for when the battery goes dead. Must be a boy scout, because he's prepare! 🀑 🌎 image #environment #climatechange

Taking down the Christmas decorations, saw this little guy hanging on trying to stay warm. Maybe an inch and a half WITH the tail. image

"If you don't have access to water, you're pretty much dead in the water." -- some guy being interviewed about the California fires. That is some deep, meta thinking right there to mull over with your first cup of coffee.

Just a week in, people are saying "bear market" of 2025! Disregard that BTC was at 93k on Jan 1. A 1.5% increase is a good "bear market"...I'll take it. πŸ˜† #bitcoin

Always feels a bit weird this time of year. I'm one of the few in the neighborhood who leaves the Christmas lights up through Epiphany (Jan 6). That's traditionally the end of the "Twelve Days of Christmas"...12 days from Dec 25 to Jan 6. My home shines at night in the dark neighborhood, but that's okay. #Christmas
