the value proposition of nostr to me is that it is not controlled by a mega corporation that is looking so collate all my data into a package it can sell to other mega corporations and governments. everything else is icing 🧁

Ok, you can avoid it, but half of nostr has the primal relay and probably isn't using Tor. Its not fair to say that nostr doesn't, but with nostr you can avoid it

No, I just think its important to remain cognizant of the threats so that clients build default protections. Like Amethyst using Tor when connecting to random relays. Most clients don't.
