How to create & save a Substack, Instagram, Reels, Old Twitter, & Youtube style feed on Primal.

We have a way of achieving search on the relay side without this cache… will share soon. Primal’s search UI is quite nice. It’s just that damn centralized backend that’s the problem.
I realize that I've barely explored the features of my favorite Nostr app. The possibilities on Primal are impressive, and some options aren't even available in apps owned by the GAFA! I encourage you to keep it up; it's excellent work! 👏

Is there a way to create a feed of multiple hashtags? #asknostr

Excellent tutorial! Thanks very much. Having short tutorials like this as you release new features is very helpful.👍 Maybe hashtag them with something like #PrimalTutorials so we can create a Primal Tutorials feed out of the hashtag for quick reference.
The main hindrance for me is that with Primal, it doesn't seem possible to use my own self-custody lightning/Bitcoin wallet, and the integrated Lightning wallet of Primal requires KYC, which I don't agree with and goes against the spirit of Bitcoin. Fix that, and it will increase the likelihood that I'll use Primal.

It's hard to over-emphasise how impressive this is... From a user perspective, it's clearly got the potential to be a 10x on the status quo socials I am intrigued how the equity position of @primal grows over time, in that the moat for this type of product feels quite small, with competition in clients fierce Let the games begin! I can't wait to see how this develops over time View quoted note →

is there a nip for that? I’ve been thinking about expanding nostrdb search beyond nip50. I don’t see how protocol dev will keep up with proprietary relays. Maybe protocol dev has failed and we should all work on custom apis now.

maybe theres no point to protocol dev anymore, we should all back to making proprietary backends so we can deliver real value instead of handicapping ourselves with the hard work of interoperability. I can see primal taking over marketshare and us protocol devs going into obscurity.
The HORNETS Relay is now equipped with immudb — a tamper-resistant database supporting: -key-value store -JSON document store -SQLite store All 3 are tamper-resistant. Shout out to Adam our main backend dev for finding immudb. We’ve spent the last month or so migrating over to it, hence the delay for launching. Originally we used graviton for our tamper-resistant db, but graviton only supported key-value store. Tamper-resistant dbs are extremely rare. The beauty of tamper-resistant dbs is it becomes hard for an attacker to secretly delete content from the db of a relay. An attacker would have to delete the relay’s entire db. Relay operators would obviously notice this, creating intense tamper-evident proof. The document store enables querying. Haven’t used it for plain text querying yet — mainly using for the git notes currently. I was going to make it a surprise, but you asked!
We’ve been building this relay to be a sort-of universal backend for any nostr app. Obviously not all apps will follow. I think it’s counter-productive for everyone to make their own implementation. That’s what Martti thought about frontend work too and merged with us per the same point. Same applies to the backend. Would love to team-up with Damus especially.
Not yet as far as I know. I was away from nostr today checking out Redbook and I see nobody else served as volunteer Primal tech support for you in the 2 hours since you posted. They should at least give me the My Tribe feed back ASAP in exchange for this service and my Primal Legends payment. just saying
Documentation will be out soon Like I said it’s not even ready yet It’s all in one… that’s the idea. Blossom, Merkle trees, negentropy, all 3 DB types, relay dashboard for managing it, bitcoin payments for being a paid relay based on GB allocation per user.
I can really testify to a true user experience 🙌 note1wg9tfrxrdvf0u2nr6fs867epmd8yps0eln3a4tkejv7mxanwvvjs99h624
I think there’s another problem too, with the NIPs repo declining in quality (anything can be a spec as long as you market it well enough to unsuspecting people) Actual improvements to protocol get ignored Also, are you going to be implementing the login with nostr proposal I made?

Any thoughts on having some pre built advanced search feeds like this ppl can choose from. Or maybe a way to duplicate the most popular saved advanced searches
