Everybody is working on mining efficiency but nobody is working on node efficiency. We need a node that can sync #Bitcoin Knots in one hour to the Max, and to be able to hook it up to your phone like a phone power bank to verify your own transactions.

Maybe a pruned knots node would suffice? I’ve heard Libbitcoin can sync the Initial Block Download really really fast! I haven’t ran the implementation just yet, but would love to one day!

A pruned Bitcoin node is great for small SSD space but it does require to first sync all the blocks for verification and then forget the older blocks, and because it's not a full node it doesn't reinforce the Bitcoin rules, and it won't verify transactions that happened before what the blocks it currently has in memory.
