I have a different experience.
Twitter breaks news faster than almost anyplace else (although you have to filter for non-bullshit sources), and plenty of financial accounts post great content (charts and analysis). There’s a close knit community of tradfi people (again, after some filtering out of bullshit). There are other close knit communities as well.
There are cool accounts for architecture, art, animals, engineering stuff, etc.
I turn on notifications for a small subset of accounts I follow to prioritize them. Basically I build my own algorithm.
Works great. Rarely mad. It’s one of my best sources of initial tradfi research and then also cat and parrot videos at the same time, so that’s nice.

You must not ever check the “for you” tab lol it seems to be maximally designed for enragement. I do agree with you about the usefulness of twitter for investing though.
