It's all about grids: the state of Iowa overproduces with renewables, but it ends up getting used by my people in Illinois.
Meanwhile, a state like California, which has one nuclear plant, melts down during a heatwave because they count on their renewables to do everything. The most miserable I've ever been is in California during a heatwave, because they don't have the power to cool even public places. Oh, and they constantly implore their citizens not to plug in their electric cars during these moments. Don't go to work, I guess. That's the solution.
How's about you just build some nuclear power plants and be done with it? I live next to two.
