For some this might be the first intro to the demo scene. Revision in Karlsruhe is the largest Demo Scene party in Europe, where 700+ old school / retro computer fans gather each year to celebrate these old machines, and program some amazing audio visual presentations, with minimal code and memory footprint (there are competitions in 4kb, 64kb, etc. for the C64, ZX 81, Amiga and many others).
Bus Error Collective their work using oscilloscopes, surprising the scene with a fresh style, but always amazingly stylish. Because of their approach, they most often compete in the Wild Compo, where everything is being accepted, as long as it is creative and wild :)
"DANGER! Differential Plasma And You" was their other entry, which is well worth watching, telling the story of an old school demo effect (the plasma) in the style of old TV documentation.
