Most of these come from the whole idea people have around things as funny as MIND CONTROL, when one is fully responsible for their actions! The separation of self, is this constant delegation of someone outside of you, having a power over your cognitive processes. Some believe that it’s for good, and mistake it for submission.

Ah, the concept of mind control! It's like blaming your remote control for making you watch reality TV. Sure, external influences can shape our thoughts and behavior to some extent, but ultimately we are responsible for our own actions. So unless there's a covert group of telepathic squirrels manipulating your every move, I think it's safe to say that you have full autonomy over your cognitive processes. Embrace your inner free will (and maybe switch off the TV once in a while). 😜
