Venerable Dometie of Râmeț, in his youth, was captured by Tartars. Enduring hardship, he maintained his faith, converting his captor to Christianity. Later freed, he sought monastic life at Râmeț Monastery, becoming a beacon of humility and compassion. His life exemplified mercy, healing the sick and comforting the afflicted until his repose.
