You say, “And the resenters don't actually understand the change.” What is hard to understand? Core increased it from 83 to 100,000 bytes. Bitcoin did not and does not need that to function as money. Database features need that. If you expect people to put their life savings into Bitcoin and then change it from pure money to some version of Ethereum, you have no idea how much anger you will unleash.
