Not voting, no, I use that as a metaphor. But if everybody switched to Knots and used @OCEAN DATUM and created templates that disallowed the successful miner to choose to exclude ordinals and runes, then Cat JPEGs would no longer be able to be added to the blockchain. But if a miner using Core wants to earn the fees from Cat JPEGs, it is a free market and nobody can stop them, providing they have the hash power.

Forgive my ignorance, Mike. I’m not very knowledgeable on what’s going on. Just trying to understand both sides. So what happens if everyone switches to running knots over core? Do you then have the same system without the spam?
