6% of the population has served. That leaves 94% of the population that lives their lives through the protection of others.
That doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone else. Not sure why that would be a bone to pick with the Amish.

It's interesting that conscientious objection is a problem but not cowardice or those that look down on military service.
Just those that have a religious conviction opposed to taking life.
