The problem with meshtastic and reticulum and bitchat is none of them are very frequency agile. I like the concepts but look at the Ukraine war. It is modern electronic warfare. Drones are wired now. Fiber optics litter the area. If meshtastic is working, then you are enjoying a non contested environment. My guess is a basic jammer could take it down. It is also I think, easily found via direction finding as is any RF transmission. I think the future will look like drones with multiple antennas. Movable transmitters. Also, people underestimate the power of code books. If you can agree on codes, in two characters you can transmit a lot of information.
