You can be critical of somebody and still respect them for how they achieved what nobody else has.
Example: Elon Musk. None of his companies are profitable. But his marketing geared towards millions of nerds around the world (muh space, muh electric cars, muh robots) + the ability to convince the government to fund your ventures (subsidies) deserves some form of genuine manly respect.

I don’t think we’d even know of the dude if his dad didn’t have an emerald mine and if his family wasn’t deeply tied to a 1930s technocracy coup attempt though. I think the entire Paypal mafia was setup as a continuation of that failed attempt.
Yes. What I mean is that even if your daddy prepared the ground for you to become the king of the world doesn’t mean that you will become one. It still takes certain qualities to achieve high feats.
