I have friends who think that bitcoin is a psyop, something created by the global elites as a precursor to CBDC's. How does one address these concerns?

@Matthew Kratter adresses this kind of conserns often in his videos. for example here:
"That's a fascinating opinion you have there. Tell me, does your mother know you've stopped taking your medication?"
This is the best pitch in my opinion. The only thing you can do is show them the door:
"You spent more than 10,000 hours working to make money, dont you think it will be worth to spend at least 10 hours on understanding money and how to preserve it?"
Then recommend Lyn Alden's Broken Money. Don't need to mention Bitcoin, for them it's the same as the shitcoin casino. But if they start to research about money, the path will always end in Bitcoin.
Its hard because there are bitcoiners that think the same still hahaha just keep chipping away little by little

When people take actions based on unfounded fears, there is little one can do from the outside, save being an example.
Learn/tell them the history of the cypherpunk movement and the many bitcoin precursors, hashcash, egold, bmoney … trying to frontrun govt abuse. They knew the government would use computers to control us and our banking, so they spent decades creating something govt can’t control.
