Nip87/86 is not in the roadmap yet. The current new design is mostly about changing relay’s role from invisible routers to visible servers, akin to Discord

Nice, I like this.. one thing I like about the nip87 is that you can specify the relays.. so that clients know where to go and where to publish. I think this kind of thing will make it easier to connect with other nostr users..(more reliable)

One other question.. does blowater do nip42 auth? If so I will probably fire up a local dev with it. I'm trying to find clients that support it for testing (it's easier to test when it's not on a phone app)
