Setting aside the name change thing, because I personally don't find it to be a good idea. And I don't feel like wasting time on it since it seems we both agree it is not a great idea. The part of this conversation I am interested in is making things more accessible. From what I understand Bitcoin has changed from the Block size wars and adding lightening to it and probably other things I don't understand. What would you suggest to make Bitcoin more accessible to the very day person? Right now I personally feel like it is hard to explain and use. If using it in the day to day life were easy then I wouldn't have to explain it. And vice versa.

I would say time, we need more time. Bitcoin is the fastest growing network that ever was. Bitcoin adoption is outpacing the internet, mobile phones and all the technology that came before it. Word of mouth is the best advertising and it’s underway. We just need a little bit of patience. Imagine how hard electricity was to explain or the internet. Bitcoin is fine as it is we don’t need to keep fucking with it.
The internet and electricity are constantly being improved though. It becomes more efficient and easier/safer to use. I think something that would make things more accessible is making more tools like nostr where they encourage the use of Bitcoin. Because right now I am barely able to use it directly. I would love to have a Shopify version. I know Plebian Market and stuff exists but it is more of a platform to post your stuff to sell and you have to handle each individual transaction.
