Elon Musk is not your friend.
He simply perfected the art of accumulating wealth based on human suffering (aka #taxation) while also saying controversial things to bond with an online community and create a cult-like following that defends him no matter what. Without making any psychological claims or knowing exactly what's going on in his mind, he probably embodies the best example of Machiavellianism.
To best understand Musk is to look at his actions from an opportunistic perspective that tries to maximize the outcome at almost all costs. This can be revealed very easily by looking at his actions retroactively. If you do that you will find out that Musk is just a different face of the same totalitarian agenda.
Proof:
Musk claims to be a #libertarian while getting billions in government subsidies for SpaceX and Tesla. How can you solve a problem when you are part of the problem?

He supported COVID vaccines initially to only question their efficacy later on.

He initially said how terrible AI could be and tried to warn President Obama about its destructive potential, and is now on the AI train with 100 percent conviction.

He wants total automation making humans economically obsolete while proposing universal income, which effectively creates state dependency.

He is a genius but couldn't figure out that Sam Altman is playing him.

Buying Twitter was generally speaking a good thing. But I believe that he didn't do it for moral reasons in the first place. He saw a huge opportunity: a large part of the political spectrum was effectively blocked by most mainstream social media platforms. He capitalized on that gap in a way someone else would likely have done eventually. Now he is basically at the source of what people are thinking in realtime worldwide. It's not only a good source to have humans train your AI models essentially for free, it's also good to have your own media company that draws a better image of you than the rest of the media landscape.
He says he is for "legal" free speech on 𝕏 but he bans people who exercised "legal" free speech on his own platform without giving any reason. By the way, Kathy Griffin's profile, who made a "sketch" about killing President Trump, is still online. Make it make sense.

At some point Musk mentioned that he will not reinstate Alex Jones (Infowars) for his Sandyhook statements. Musk said he had to watch his firstborn child die in his arms. He therefore has no mercy for people who exploit the deaths of children for fame or political gain. Meanwhile, his ex-wife has spoken out. She mentioned that their firstborn child died in her arms. Why would you lie about that?

Now imagine 𝕏 as a SuperApp like China's WeChat, with instant messaging, social media, mobile payments, and e-commerce, all in one app. Now combine that with that one app blocking and banning you. Musk has plans to turn 𝕏 into a SuperApp. Does that sound like a good idea?
