Onufrie, born in the early 18th century in the Neamț area, felt a deep calling to monasticism early in life. Despite his parents' wishes for him to marry, he secretly left home and joined the hermitage near Vorona Monastery. Renowned for his strict asceticism, unceasing prayer, and profound humility, Onufrie became an example for all. Eventually, he was chosen as abbot of Vorona. He rebuilt the church, established workshops, and cared for the poor. Pray that Onufrie, intercessor before #God, may guide us on the path of repentance and unwavering #Faith.
