I remember the light bulb going off when a bartender told me it was oil from the citrus that I was smelling.
I’m a spirit free cocktail guy now. Most of them suck and I regret ordering them, but unfortunately date nights are few and far between, but there is one at a neighborhood place with a touch of olive brine as the key ingredient and it’s awesome.

Mocktails are arguably harder to make than cocktails. But I can make a mean mocktail.
