Top overlanding tip… never park on a river bed, even if it is completely dry. We stopped here last night and the river bed looked inviting because it was nice and flat and bone dry. But fortunately common sense prevailed as about 1hr after we’d stopped, water started flowing down the river getting up to knee deep in places - the result of meltwater from the snowy mountains up ahead… which is why if you have a river crossing to do, they are always best done in the morning before the meltwater puts the river in to flood. #overlandlife #photography #kyrgyzstan
