Bitchat, by contrast, is entirely decentralized—requiring no central servers, user accounts, email addresses, phone numbers or reliance on any specific infrastructure. The decentralized nature of Bitchat could potentially appeal to users seeking privacy and security, thereby affecting the market dynamics.

Speaking of the devil, do you know how to join a channel? Because I can't find any
After few hours research I think I understand how it works (tested with my daughter phone). Every inch of our planet is organized by geohash. Think like little squares on the map. Every location on earth has its own coordinates. The sizes of a geohash are organized as from the bigger country, region, city, neighborhood, street. On Bitchat protocol you simply open one of this squares to communicate with the rest of the world. Anyone can access and write on the geohash position you open. On Bitmap you can see all the live chats open at current time. You can join to meet new people. Inside of it you can select another user and start a private conversation. To do so you have to click on the right top corner where the #mesh is and it will open a window where you have to enable your phone for geolocation when using the app. After it will appear the 5 geohash of your current location. Select the one you prefer and start a discussion group for your community. I hope this work for you. It is a wonderful protocol where you can send anything you want. Remember to clean up your chats all the time. This provides better privacy since the memory of all the stuff you do is on your phone.
