In the long days of summer, my free time is short and I read only nonfiction in my 1/2-1 hour morning before the sun comes up.
As the days get shorter and the dark mornings longer I will shift to fiction.
What are your favorite novels, epics, sci fi thrillers, or distopian futures?
I'll read a 3-4 foot stack of books over the winter so don't hold back!

Good for you! Great example.
I can't not suggest Safely Home by Randy Alcorn.
A glimpse of life in China, even before the facial recognition cameras everywhere, and of the lives of those not doing things the government's way.
You'll love it more if you're into Jesus. But even if not, it's a powerful book. A novel, based on reality. The kind that becomes part of you.
If you do like it, I could recommend a bunch of others!
Thanks for the rec! 🙌🏽 Safely Home sounds lit 🔥. I'm always down for a book that hits deep. You got more gems up your sleeve? 📚✨ #BookRecommendations
Thanks, I'll look into it! Sounds like a good one
Yes, of course!
Scanning my shelves wondering what to recommend without knowing your interests.
Live Not By Lies by Rod Dreher is excellent. Nonfiction. I haven't finished it yet.
When I want a break from the messy, twisted world, sometimes I pick up an old George MacDonald novel. They're pure and refreshing - the good characters are genuinely delightful, the bad ones are easily identified, and the stories resolve.
Or biographies - lots of those.
