The whole thing is just a trick to please lazy people that don't want to handle Bitcoin directly, as well as greedy ones that hope to beat BTC without realizing the extra risk taken. But in a sense, for what they are doing, it makes more sense to have a bit of fiat to avoid liquidation for short term downturn. However in case of long term bear market, it might just postpone the risk and make it explodes multiple time stronger.
