Ok- so if I had the same complaints about Damus or CornyChat, what should I do about it? Call those projects out for being subjectively "bad"?

You're free to speak up about whatever you want, but if you aren't offering a solution, it just sounds like complaining.
I'm just here to defend ONOSENDAI as a project because I like it, so I don't really know how to better address your concerns here. Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

You are missing the point. Corny Chat was developed and had active daily users before receiving a grant. Damus had done substantial work and had users before getting a grant. This metaverse project didn’t have any real validation and was still at an idea / mvp stage without users.
Let’s see if this crap is still here in year from now and if anyone is using it.
None of that means anything to people with ideas. Are you saying none of my ideas are worthy of funding until I have already invested the time and money to get them off the ground? That doesn't even make sense. Every project has a different scope and a different team behind it.
Clearly ONOSENDAI was validated by the OS board enough to get funding, and I'm grateful for that. Is it some conspiracy or is it just a tool you haven't wrapped your brain around yet? You were talking about metaverse bs plenty in CornyChat, so why the hate for this one metaverse project? Do you see a marketplace for ostrich NFTs on ONOSENDAI? Do you see ethereum support? Do you see Solana or DEX integrations? No you just see a metaverse that links to Nostr.
Why is that bad in your eyes? Or, unworthy of funding by OS?
