That's not good. This will be a mess for quite a while I guess. Best would be to stay on the old version until every app one's using is updated to the new format
It'll be fine. Just amazed people are actively developing. I had 3 services ready to go in November and then they said "oh wait, we're not accepting anything new for the community registry on the other version since this will be out in q1 2025."
It seems they are little bit behind their timelineπ
But good to know it will work out fine. Was a bit concerned this could cause some interruptions.
Its a significant improvement, would have just been better for them to decouple the migration to LXC from the clearnet stuff which likely would have unblockes developers like me and probably enabled community members to be building more.
For example, a big enhancement is going to allow you to run registries of your s9 yourself. So something I wanted to do was a zapstore like feature for that where we have npubs signing their s9 services.
I'm only complaining BC for me, doing open source work has a different definition of done which is just that my boomer dad could run my code and the only way to do that is s9. Because I do dev work all day in an obscure env and the draw for me to open source is actually being able to showcase my work to the normies in my life.
