From posting a new post into a community, to getting approval from moderators. Users can create moderated communities like Reddit subs, to share curated content. But this is powered by #nostr, which is not controlled by any single entity. #[3] #[4] #[5] #[6] image

This is a test note, that is to be approved by the moderator of that NIP-172 community. The first moderated community (kind 34550) on #nostr. ✅ created community ✅ submit new post request ✅ approved the new post into the community #[2] I will give some thoughts about what I’ve observed so far soon. image

I know you were planning to make Zapddit into a full-fledged Reddit clone, @Vivek, but such optional functionality seems interesting, especially that it already has demand and a huge community built around this model. What do you think?
I am following the development of the NIP. @Kamal and I are discussing the way forward for the UX. We could make moderated communities an optional thing as you said.
Optional probably IS a #Nostr way. I feel like the main thing is not to force anyone into anything. It’s cool you are looking into this, guys! I’m sure there are many more use cases to NIP-172 than just creating Reddit clones.
