I do, however, wish there were an app that generated your keypair and allowed you to sign into desktop apps using just a QR code

There should be a simple app, called NSign or something, that should store your keys, and allow to sign in to desktop apps with a QR code and mobile apps with a bunker URL
The way it's being deployed is clunky
