Twitter and other many platforms are blocked in Russia, but nostr is not popular here.

That's weird to me. I have such a problem with censorship that I have my own domain with multiple servers in disparate countries to host my blog, so that it would take the actions of a powerful nation state to silence me.

There is no corner of this globe entirely free of censorship; we've just made it financial. The wealthier you are, the louder you get to be.
