I’m seeing so much regret from women who sacrificed family for “their happiness”.

Women have to make harder choices earlier in life than men. Plus, they get tricked into false beliefs by men and women alike. It's hard.
That's sad.
Yes, I have met a few young women who are realizing too late that they sacrificed family for their careers. Who I’m meeting a lot here in Hawaii are women who were married 15+ years, divorced because they weren’t 💯 fulfilled or happy and they now realize the grass isn’t always greener.
We've been tricked into over-idealizing romantic relationships to the point where people think it's just the initial feeling that's love.
But it's the work. It's being there for each other when it's hard. It's consistency. It's a choice.
It is hard to watch people get burned by applying hedonistic fallacies to something that could be flawless and perfect. It's all up to us.
I believe now that all we give is all we can ever keep.
It's almost like they were misled.
👏 to everything you said. Happiness and romance endure in a marriage when both spouses continue to communicate, want to take care of each others needs, and they put in the work.
