If I start a new key pair on Nostr and only use that one on a full time VPN connection, are there still privacy issues if that nsec is logged out after each client app use, and the master key is stored in a PGP encrypted text file on the same device?

I guess it depends how and on what that key is used. Social graph of that npub is still visible, all unencrypted notes can be retrieved and the encrypted ones are still leaking metadata (NIP-104 will hopefully change that). Also the VPN operator might be forced to reveal data about you so using Tor instead might be a better option.

Cool thanks. I’m thinking about ways to use Nostr for secure comms. Or if not secure, plausibly deniable lol.
