There is no one single implementation of IPv4 or IPv6 for example, it is a protocol that is implemented by thousands of vendors. It would be great if bitcoin were more like that. I don't like that MARA pool funds DDoS operations targeting node runners, at the same time push for compliant blocks and funds Bitcoin Core devs.
