⚽ Why is football more than just a game? Because more than 4 billion people — every second person on Earth — are football fans. And whatever people dedicate their most valuable resource to — their time — becomes meaningful. For me, Hungary’s national team matches have become family events. That’s where I can show my children what belonging feels like, what it means to be Hungarian. There’s no other celebration in this country that expresses unity like this: 60,000 people breathing together, singing together. In those moments, it doesn’t matter if you’re from the countryside or the capital, or what your politics are — there, everyone is simply Hungarian. I feel the same at Diósgyőr games. In those moments, everyone is simply from Miskolc. And while the team doesn’t always win, when they do, the happiness changes the mood of the people and even the spirit of the whole city. Football brings joy, it unites us, and it builds community. That’s why we’ll be out there again with family and friends at the upcoming Hungary–Portugal match. ❤️🤍 Hajrá Magyarok! Örülök, hogy te így éled meg. Nekem mindig a “kenyeret és cirkuszt a népnek” jut eszembe róla, és biztos vannak hasznos funkciói a szenvedélyes tömegek számára, de engem teljesen hidegen hagy, és így érzem jól magam.
